Other news
We have recently taken on a young Apprentice who will start with us in August, and we will be supporting him through college until he passes his AM2.

Project Updates
The following projects have been completed in 2021/2022
- University of Portsmouth refurbishment for Overbury handed over in June 2022
- Dyson Hangers 81 & 85 nearing completion with Bray & Slaughter.
New Projects
We have recently secured the following projects:
- Project Spires for Willmott Dixon Interiors - a refurb of a warehouse to offices and laboratories in Oxford.
- Oakfield - A development of 219 houses in Swindon for Lovell Construction.

Project Updates
The following projects have been completed in 2021
- Perry Court for Skanska – A new build school
- H21 for Vistry – Residential apartments/assisted living
We are currently doing a new build housing project called Oakfields for Midas in Swindon. This consists of 219 houses, 18 apartments in a communal hub building. This project is ongoing with a completion date of 2023.
New Projects
We have recently secured the following projects:
- Dyson Hullavington for Bray and Slaughter – this project comprises of alterations of electrical services in 2 hangers for Dyson research and development. This is a very fast-tracked project with a completion date of March 2022.
- Brentford Block D for Willmott Dixon Construction – this is 96 new build apartments and is due to commence in April 2022 with a completion date of March 2023.
- Lucy Faithful for Willmott Dixon – this consists of 36 new apartments in Oxford due to commence December 2021 with a completion date of November 2022.
- Wincanton Residential care home for Midas – This a 74-bed new care home with a start date of March 22 to Sept 22.
- Portsmouth University for Overbury – This is a refurbishment which commenced this month and is due for completion in Feb 22.
Other news
We are now members of CHAS Elite which adds to our accreditation.
We recently held a go karting evening for our employees.
We have paired with Shared Apprentices to give an apprentice a placement on our Oakfield housing development.
We are delighted to announce that Jon Talbot, one of our contracts managers has been promoted to Operations Manager – this is a new role that will assist the Directors in the day to day running of the business.

Newsletter Autumn 2020
Project Updates
Holiday Inn Swindon has been taken over by another contractor (Carter Lauren) and will be completed in approx. 1 weeks’ time.
Dean Street student accommodation has been completed again for a different contractor (Beard Construction)
Howard Gardens is close to handover within the next few weeks which is a 400-bed student accommodation.
The following projects are due to be completed in 2021 are
- The Village Hotel in Eastleigh for Willmott Dixon
- Winchester Leisure and Sports for Willmott Dixon
New Projects
We have recently secured a large project of 239 dwellings in Swindon which will commence in the new year with Mispace, along with a student accommodation located at the old St Marys hospital in Bristol for URBN Construction.
A multi storey car park has also been secured and is due to commence in early 2021 for Midas Construction in Abingdon.
We are currently in discussion on many other projects which includes a student accommodation in Gloucester.
Whilst it has not been an easy year for construction, we aim to try to maintain our turnover as last year.
New projects have been uploaded on to our website and Facebook page where you can see videos of our completed projects and some that are in still in progress and will give you an insight into the work we have carried out and more details of the project.
We have had good results from our apprentices, with two passing their AM2 and other operatives taking their City and Guilds testing qualification.
We will soon have one of our longest standing employees – Colin Millman, who will be retiring at the end of the year. Colin has contributed to teaching and mentoring many of our young apprentices and we wish him a happy retirement.

As we are nearing the end of 2019, we have recently completed the following projects:
- Belgrave Road - A Plymouth Student Accommodation for Armada
- Holiday Inn Swindon for WRW
We are soon to commence with the following projects:
- Dean Street - A 225-bedroom student accommodation for WRW
- Howard Gardens – A 390 student accommodation for RGB Group
- Winchester Leisure Centre -a multipurpose leisure complex with Olympic size swimming pool, training pool, hydro therapy pool, fitness suites and café for Willmott Dixon
- Village Hotel Eastleigh for Willmott Dixon
- Housing 21 + care – A care home for Galliford Try

2019 has commenced with the appointment of 2 new Directors at Phaze, both internal - Rob Hulland and Phil Love.
In 2018 we completed the following:
- Village Hotel Bristol for Willmott Dixon
- Eastover IBIS Hotel Bridgwater for WRW
- Holiday Inn Bridgwater for Midas
We are about to commence the following:
- Village Hotel Basingtoke for Willmott Dixon
- 3 new schools - Watermore school Gloucester for Midas, Barton Farm Winchester for Willmott Dixon and St Nicholas in Croydon also for Willmott Dixon.
We are currently in discussion for 3 student accommodation projects in Bath and Bristol along with further Village Hotels and have work up to and including 2021.
Newsletter – July 2018
Phaze Electricals first female apprentice, Melissa Smart has been awarded Electrical Apprentice of the year at the BESA awards in Cardiff. We are very proud of Melissa for being presented with this prestigious award.
Workload
Our work load has been fairly stable, however the following projects are about to commence.
Bristol Village Hotel will be completed in November for Urban Village and Phaze has secured orders for another two hotels, one in Eastliegh and one in Basingstoke for Willmott Dixon.
We have also secured a secondary school for Willmott Dixon at Croydon.
We are about to commence another hotel in Bridgwater for Midas Construction - Holiday Inn Express, along with a Travel Lodge located in Chippenham commencing in October for WRW.
Phaze has just recently completed a care home for Rydon Construction in Taunton and are about to complete a Primary School in Smitham.

Newsletter – March 2017
Phaze Electrical has just completed its end of year accounts which has shown an increased profit on previous years and is looking forward to a £4 million pound order book for the coming year.
Current Projects
We are rapidly completing the following projects which are due to be completed within the next 3 months.
- Howard Gardens Student Accommodation in Cardiff (Vinci)
- Redwood Lodge Care Village in Bristol (Balfour Beatty)
- Edenbrook Leisure Centre in Fleet(Willmott Dixon)
- Chester Park School in Bristol (Skanska)
New projects
Within the next 3 months we are commencing a new 155 bedroomed hotel in Bridgwater for WRW, a care home in Taunton for Rydon and a 150 bedroomed hotel in Portsmouth for Willmott Dixon.
Apprentices
Phaze has appointed four local school leavers to commence an apprenticeship with us in September who will be attending a new training college in Bristol to start their training.
Certification
We have recently been certified by SMAS Health & Safety (see certifications) and have also renewed its health & safety with The Building Safety Group for all our H&S monitoring. Phaze has been appointed Category A on the supply list chain after achieving extremely high audit ratings with Willmott Dixon.
Future Projects
We are currently reviewing approximately £8 million pounds worth of new business for the year 2017-2018.

Within the next 3 months we are commencing a new project Leisure facility in Fleet for Willmott Dixon, a student accommodation in Cardiff and a care village in Bristol.
